  1. Hi Robin. I’m fascinated by the technology/magic used to transport the monsters between worlds as well as the language translation device. Will we learn more about them in a future book?

    Thanks,

    1. Thanks very much, friend with coincidentally my same last name! I’m glad you’re interested in that aspect of the fantasy, because it’s pretty important. Look for an answer to your question here.

  2. Hi miss J.Robin Deford, my name is Danice, and me and my mom read your book Monsters Like Me together just now. I really like it and I think it really good. I like how Matias has to think about what he’s doing and how killing is not good, and he even teaches that to the little fox kid. I think the two bird people are really cool, I like birds so their my favorite monsters. We you put more bird people in later, I want to see more of them like maybe a bird that’s green and blue with a red head and two white stripes going up from her eyes (she’s a girl bird monster). Thank you and have a good day.

    1. Thank you so much, Danice; I’m very happy you enjoyed the book and thought it was good. I’m glad you liked Matías’ moral growth.

And thanks for your question about bird-people! Look for the answer here. I like your idea for a bird-person; she sounds like a beautiful colorful parrot. Maybe you should try drawing her!

    1. Thanks so much! I’m so glad you like Matías’ parents, because I’m very fond of them too! Look for an answer to your question here.
